We've moved most Android users to using K-9. Up until I got my iPhone a few months ago, I used my Android Phone, laptop, desktop and iPad all with iMAP clients with no problem. We've loved K-9.
I now have 3 users with the new Samsung Galaxy Nexus and I think some of them decided to stick with the native android 4.0 email app to give it a chance. I haven't heard if any have switched to K9 or not.

Perhaps because I have more than one Android device syncing to my SM server on the same accounts from the same (public - obviously the NAT LAN IP address is different), since I use a (Galaxy 10.1) Tab at the same time as a cellphone - the client just stops syncing to the server after a while (minutes, hours or days), never updates. In the SM status I see as many as 8 IMAP channels listed per email account.

Or gone to Maildroid or another client?
